In 2014, St. Joseph Pastoral Parish Council participated in a Parish wide effort to review the “Parish Plan”. Members of the council, staff, commissions and school met on multiple occasions to prayerfully consider our Parish mission/vision and set goals to fulfill our desire as a parish to Pray, Teach and Serve.
To help guide the “Parish Plan”, our Pastoral Parish Council collaborates with the Pastor to articulate the mission/ vision of St. Joseph Parish by holding monthly meetings which periodically include the commissions. Also, representatives from Worship, Faith Formation, Stewardship, Christian Service, Religious Education, and St. Joseph School report on their set objectives discussing the effectiveness and sharing updates with the council.
Along with guiding the mission/vision of the parish, the council attends the Parish Picnic to greet parishioners and guests, is responsible for an hour in our beautiful adoration chapel, holds an annual collaboration meeting with Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, consults with the Pastor on major decisions, and when required, may sit on sub-committees.
The council consists of nine parishioners whom either volunteer or are nominated. The candidates are chosen at Pentecost by a drawing in which three new council members and two alternatives are chosen for a three-year term. In our June meeting, the new members are welcomed and the upcoming President, Vice President, Secretary and Vicariate Representative are voted upon.
The current members of council are listed below:
Stacy Ray, President
Steve Fox, Vice President
Brian Kogut, Secretary
Jim Daily, Vicariate Rep
