Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW) is an opportunity for our young elementary-school children to hear the weekend Scripture readings and discuss them at their level. The program is offered during the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass from October through May, with some holiday exceptions. Children sit with their family in the church until the priest calls for the kids to leave with the CLW leader. Just before the Presentation of the Gifts, children are returned to the church to join their families. Many Sundays, a few of the children are randomly selected to bring up the gifts to the priest.

*To be prepared in an emergency, we ask parents to stop by the Welcome Desk before Mass to check the CLW leader's directory, so we have an accurate way to contact the parent/responsible adult if needed during Mass. This step only needs to be done once unless there is a contact change.

December   4, 11, 18  (no 25th due to Christmas)
January        8, 15, 22, 29  (no 1st due to New Year's Day)
February      5, 12, 26  (no 19 due to mid-winter break)
March           5, 12, 19  (no 26th due to spring break)
April              2, 16, 23  (no 9th due to Easter; no 30th due due First Communions)
May               7, 14, 21  (no 28th due to Memorial Day)
