Nightfevers are open churches with a special atmosphere of music, prayer and candlelight — at a time when the churches are usually closed. During this special event, the church is opened for visitors, the Blessed Sacrament is displayed, and the altar is decorated with the image of the Divine Mercy. Volunteers go out into the streets and invite people to come in, light a candle, and spend a few minutes with Jesus. It is a powerful experience.
Nightfever combines adoration, confession time, prayer time, beautiful music and an opportunity to bring new people into the church. NightFever at St. Mary’s will take place from 10:30 PM to 12 Midnight on June 29, immediately after the Rochester Hills fireworks.
